Abstract: The conventional heating and ventilation design method of one uranium mill which is located in severe cold area is introduced.The existed problems and their causes during the mill operation are analyzed.The energy saving design pattern to solve these problems for such mill is discussed.A new idea for the energy saving design for the uranium mills is put forward.Heat convection and heat radiation combination method is employed for mill heating supply,and the suitable ventilation equipment for heat recovery for the mill exhaust air is selected.
