Abstract: The influence of emotion on memory is very important. There are some interactions between memory and emotion, mainly including the positive and the negative. This paper discusses the relationship between autobiographical memory and emotion from the aspects of neural mechanisms, the neural mechanisms of brain about autobiographical memory in different emotional situation. At positive mood condition, the memory effect is better; but at a negative emotional state, the memory effect is poor. Secondly, autobiographical memory is about one’s own life event; subthreshold depression generally refers to having symptoms of depression, but not up to the standard of the individual diagnosis of depression. As a common negative emotional state subthreshold depression significantly affects memory, especially obviously interferencing autobiographical memory with the emotion congruent effect, also regarding all the autobiographical memory as the negative emotion. At last, this paper reviews the lack and the future prospect of related research.
