Abstract: RVSP,a borehole detection technology of high precision, has been effectively used in the field of oil and gas exploration. In order to make a technological breakthrough in coal mine goaf detection by RVSP,a layered medium RVSP forward numerical simulation was performed by high-order finite difference method to figure out the propagation mechanism of seismic wave and to study the feasibility of coal mine goaf detection.A 3D RVSP multihole united exploration technology was put forward for the problem of blind spot in deep area by single hole RVSP,and combined with SIRT inversion algorithm to restore the velocity field of forward model and then to fix the position of abnormal body accurately.3D RVSP multihole united exploration technology was applied to coal mine goaf detection. The velocity information of exploration area was obtained through tomographic inversion and the goaf was accurately delimited. It turns out that this method could provide accurate seismic imaging.
